> Infrastructure and a new customer panel for game server hosting used by more than 5,000 customers.

- **Client**: Hostero, our own product
- **Scope**: Infrastructure, customer panel, maintenance
- **Timeline**: 2023 – now
- **Website**: [hostero.pl](https://hostero.pl/)

## History

1. Before 2023

We run the nhost.pl hosting service. Its configurator sets it apart: every customer builds a server with exactly the resources they need, while competitors sell only fixed plans.

2. 2023

Hostero launches. The customer panel runs on off-the-shelf software, and everything else on our servers.

3. Early 2026

We start writing our own panel from scratch, so we can extend it the way we need.

4. Now

The new panel is ready and has been through beta testing, and the waitlist is open at [hostero.gg](https://hostero.gg/).

## The challenge

The old panel got us off the ground quickly and served thousands of customers. Hostero grew faster than off-the-shelf software let us develop it, so we wrote the panel ourselves.

## The new panel

We wrote Hostero's new panel from scratch. Customers do everything in it themselves: from ordering, through configuration, to mods and plugins.

### Entirely ours

We designed and coded the whole panel ourselves, down to the smallest detail.

### Beta testing with customers

Customers from the waitlist tested ordering and server management. Thanks to their feedback, we added many improvements and fixes.

### AI assistant

A built-in AI assistant helps customers in the panel.

## Infrastructure

A new game server sets itself up in under 60 seconds. Backups and monitoring run in the background, so we hear about most problems before players notice them.

### Server setup

The server configures itself right after the order, without waiting for any of us.

### Backups

Backups run every night, so after a failure we go back to yesterday instead of starting from scratch.

### Monitoring

Our tools watch the servers around the clock and alert us when something slows down or stops responding.

## What customers say

> „The V3 panel is a world better to use. It's intuitive, so even less experienced people find their way around it easily, and the new features really help in day-to-day work. I keep my projects on Hostero, and they've never let me down.”

Oleslaw, owner of Łeker Studio

> „The new panel is above all a better look, but webhooks and server management got improvements too. With more services, grouping servers works really well. Even in the beta the panel ran noticeably faster than the old one, and it gets better with every version.”

## The result

Today more than 5,000 customers use Hostero. They order, configure and grow their servers themselves, and they don't wait on support with questions, because an AI assistant helps them in the panel. What started as nhost.pl is now a product we design, build and maintain entirely ourselves.

## What this means for you

### Code and servers in one place

At Hostero we write the panel and look after the servers it runs on, so when something breaks nobody passes the blame to another company. Your application gets the same setup.

### Tested before it reaches everyone

Customers from the waitlist tested the new panel before it reaches 5,000 customers. You check your application too, before your customers see it.

### Care after launch

We have maintained Hostero since 2023: updates, fixes and new features. We look after your application the same way after launch.

## Questions about Hostero

### Why show your own product rather than a client project?

Hostero is our product, so we're responsible for all of it: the code, the servers and customer support. That lets us show details we're not allowed to reveal for a client project, such as how the infrastructure works. We work on it every day in the same setup your app gets.

### Why was the new panel built from scratch instead of fixing the old one?

The old panel ran on off-the-shelf software, Pterodactyl, written in PHP. Every change for Hostero meant working around its architecture, and bug fixes depended on its makers. We develop our own panel ourselves, so new features reach customers when they need them.

### Who is behind Hostero?

Hostero is a Hoxger product, so the same team is behind it. The people who have developed and run Hostero since 2023 also builds and maintains client apps.

### How was the new panel's look designed?

We designed the new panel before a single line of code was written. After the beta tests we refined the design based on feedback from customers on the waitlist. We work the same way on your app: first you get a design to approve, then we write the code.

### Is the data in the panel screenshots real?

No. The screenshots show the real panel, but the server names, addresses and accounts are made up for this page. We don't show Hostero customers' data to anyone.

The IP addresses in the screenshots come from a range reserved for documentation (203.0.113.0/24), so they don't belong to any server.

## Write to us.

A few questions about your project, about two minutes. We reply within two working days.
